The Climate Change Adaptation Model Regions (KLAR!) funding program was initiated with the goal of giving regions and communities the opportunity to prepare for climate change, minimize its negative impacts through adaptation measures, and seize the opportunities it presents. The primary goal of KLAR! Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park is to advance climate adaptation in problem areas, but also to increase awareness among all stakeholders about future changes in the region. In addition, emerging opportunities, such as in agriculture, are to be exploited. Four problem areas, and thus focal points of KLAR! Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park, have been defined: agriculture, forestry & hunting, tourism, and communities & community. In the current follow-up phase, seven climate change adaptation measures are being implemented in these areas.
