Regional farmers' markets

A successful collaboration with regional producers has been established at the Ötscher base in Wienerbruck. To ensure everyone has access to these valuable foods and handmade products, four farmers' markets are held annually – often accompanied by a varied supporting program with music, food, and children's activities. A variety of high-quality, regional products – from freshly baked bread and smoked bacon to honey and homemade jams and specialty handcrafts – are offered by local producers from the region. The number of producers, and thus the range of products, grows year after year. The farmers' markets also offer products obtained as part of other projects (high-altitude fruit, cultivation of heirloom vegetable varieties). Other nature park activities (e.g., mountain harvesting or fruit pressing) are also held as part of the event.
